Review: You Got That

If you checked out Brendon’s interview below, then you saw a lot of talk about You Got That from the Infamy crew. Ryan sent over a copy for me to check out and I did a little review over on the Dig website. I’ll be doing reviews from time to time there as well if something comes up…

Brendon Reith Interview

To be honest, Brendon is a new name to me. I saw it starting to pop up quite a bit lately. I hit up Derek Adams to get ahold of him to figure out what this kid was all about. Shortly after I had the chance to check out You Got That, a new video from the Infamy crew that he had a full part in (I’ll be doing a review over on Dig in the next day or two). The kid is really talented, and recently been given a lot of opportunities to accelerate. I got a chance to send him some questions and this is what he had to say. Expect big things from Brendon in the coming months…

Bret Trigg Interview

Everyday I watch what feels like an endless number of web videos for the Dig site. After a while you start seeing firmiliar names popping up that produce some solid edits. Bret’s name has been popping up quite frequently with some of those good edits from Australia. I decided it would be cool to find out a little bit more about him and what he has going on down under these days. So check out what Bret has to say, some riding photos and some of his edits that he has made…

2nd Annual 3rd Lair Jam

This is kind of last minute and should have been done a few weeks ago but it is what it is! There’s a contest going down on the 31st (next sunday) at 3rd Lair. If you are in the area it would be rad if you came out even if you don’t want to enter the contest! Check out the full flyer after the jump!

Review: KMC Kool Knight Chain

When you think about it, there isn’t really much that you could do to a chain that hasn’t already been done. The concept is straight forward, you take links and piece them together. They are used in bikes, machines, jewelry and so many more random things. Then came along hollow pins, and cut outs in the side plates, followed by the half link. What else could there be? Well, the KMC “Knight” chain is the next innovation in BMX chains… Curious?

Micah Kranz Interview

I’m not quite sure when the first time Micah and myself crossed paths. I want to say it was the Baco when we got banned from Jellystone. I didn’t actually talk to him, but he was definitely there. Baco this year was the one that I got the real chance to hang out with Micah and get to know him better. I had nothing but fun when I was around him and there was no doubt in sight when the idea of an interview came to mind. Take a lesson from this guy…

On the Horizon: Stolen Bikes

I had the chance to talk with David Wooten from Stolen/Greasy Comb Distribution a little bit during Interbike this past year. I heard quite a bit about where Stolen planned on going and figured it would be cool to fill you guys in a little bit with what they are doing these days. 2010 is off and running so expect to see quite a bit of Stolen this year…

BMX Grub

I really need to upgrade to the iPhone. Come on, Verizon! If you are a user you may have noticed that all of BMXunion’s interviews are linked in on BMX Grub now. Dustin Griess is a Minnesotan like myself, so we are keeping things tight! If you have an iPhone or iTouch get that app right now. It’s free!

Also, D-Grice has a little interview over on Fat BMX talking about the app and some other things. Boom!

On the Horizon: Coalition

There was a recent blast of news and web videos about Coalition coming back to life. The team has been completely redone with Matt Colisch at the reins as TM. With all the new things going on, I figured it was a good time to see where things are going with Matt and Coalition as a whole. This is what he had to say…

Green Laser Phenomenon

There has been some chaos in BMX as of lately with the whole green laser pointer phenomenon growing. Over the course of the last year I was exposed to the lasers from a distance. Keeping my curiosity to a controllable level without really any over the top temptation of needing to make a purchase of one of these 50mw eye burning, distance shooting, sign explosion devices. That was until Baco…
