Around 3 or 4 years ago, after riding all my life,I was forced to give up bmx from long term pain in my knee(temporarily, but I didn't know that at the time).I looked down on other forms of aggressive riding but after some thought I sold my bmx in favour of big wheels and suspension,my friends were shocked.I'm now back bmxing when I can but now do mtb equally, taj has expressed exactly how I now feel about opening my mind, cycling or otherwise, great answer!

Great interview and perspectives. I agree that swapping millions of cars for public transit would be an incredible change (possible obama economic stimulus plan?)
An interesting thing I've noticed is how humble Taj is in light of his accomplishments in life/bmx. From riding, artwork, and views, taj is a nonstop inspiration.
It sounds like taj could be looking for a direction and it would be awesome if he could continue to apply his positive energy and influence to inspire other people. Some don't realize just how much power they have to provoke positive change in others and taj is definitely one of those.

"I think there was a moment when I was intimidated by what people would think of me if I rode for Giant even though I wanted to, and that made me that much more determined to do it."

amen.
