Hey I’m Steven Kennedy. After working with Kurt on my interview for the site, he was kind enough to ask me to contribute. It’s been exactly one month and one day, and I decided it’s about damn time I finally write something. This was last night.

I have been been injured for just over three months now, with another three to go before I’ll be able to ride again. Being that I am in between semesters of school, had recent surgery on my knee, no bike riding, and rainy weather I have been drinking and partying more than usual. Last night was no exception, and a bunch of people were at our apartment having a good time. “Brooke Destroys,” of Bmxboard.com and Myspace fame randomly called me up and asked if she and her friend could come down. So let’s recap: I’m drunk, I’m at a party, and a quasi bmx celebrity wants to come kick it? I told her to bring me something nice to drink, and come on down to San Diego!

I was already drunk when I talked to Brooke on the phone, but by the girls got to our apartment I was downright shitfaced. The conversation went something like this:

Me: “Hey.”
Brooke (in the driver seat): “Get in the car! We need to go get more alcohol!”

Ha ha they were already drunk. I was stoked, this was going to be fun. After returning to the party, a lot of drinking happened and things got really rowdy, really fast.

Luckily I recently got my first decent digital camera, so I took tons of rad photos during the night. Words can’t really describe the level of ridiculousness, this is one of the more tame photos, but it sums up what happened pretty well:
